Colin Marcus earned his B.S. degree from the Dept. of Physics at the University of Rochester. After graduating, he worked for several years in the Dept. of Physics and Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. During this time he discovered a love for hardware electronics design and developed instrumentation for experiments in several research groups, with publications in Nature Nanotechnology.
His current research interests involve the design of flexible ultrasound arrays and supporting electronics for use in breast cancer detection and other medical imaging applications.
